If you don't feel comfortable how can you be expected to deliver your best performance? That's the reason our studios are located not in some 'business' building, but in the lower level of our home in Lakewood, Colorado. This allows for private sessions that allow you to focus on your music. While this studio was, is and always will be a private studio built for our personal use and needs, we are always interested in working on like-minded projects anywhere from a quick single hour session to projects lasting months. Our fully acoustically treated control room with Genelec calibrated monitors enables you to hear your mix as it is recorded, not as the room dictates. Because of this, the control room easily doubles as a 2nd recording room and it's home to an ever growing collection of some of the best gear and software used at any of the top studios. Our live room which is viewed from the control room through a 4 foot wide window, is acoustically treated as well to give your recordings a warm yet near flat base to build off with the industry's best plugins and outboard gear to shape, craft and fine tune your recordings into smash hits, all at sound quality you will not find at other studios or even professional studios without paying considerably more. The vocal booth is setup to allow full view into the control and live rooms through it's own window, keeping you in sync visually via body language. Perfect for voice overs, animation voice capture or recording your vocal tracks, making sure to capture every detail yet keeping enough separation for mixing and mastering correctly.All of the processing, data storage/backups and studio workstations are housed outside of the studio control room keeping a near completely silent mixing and mastering environment for precise detail fine tuning. This also benefits the quality of recordings, keeping the bulk of power hungry gear far away from the more sensitive equipment in the control room avoiding interference. Protecting your work is also important, all studio project files are kept to the 3-2-1 rule, 3 copies total, 2 onsite (local servers), 1 offsite (out of state) This makes sure all projects are safe from data loss. Ever wonder what happens to your perfect take if a power outage hits? It can, and has happened, but with our battery backup systems you have time to finish that perfect take and save your project. ATTENTION PLAYERS AND SINGERS: We are always looking for talented individuals of all musical types to be on file with us to be call in talent for those ongoing projects that need that little extra something with both our in house works and outside clients. Here are our base rates²: PRACTICE TIME: Need a Place to practice your instrument of choice? You might be interested in our Practice Time. Book time in our studio with no recording involved at a discounted rate, perfect for those that don't live in the ideal place, have problem neighbors or just need a quite room to fine tune your skills! Our current base rates² above are at a discount while we fine tune our new studio build. While this base rate will apply to most projects, if your project is significantly more complex /simple, the rate will reflect that.
